Most of the time. Sometimes it is just percentages and coming up with ways to measure how effective a machine learning model is at predicting something. Or it could be something like if I have a sensor collecting 100 Mb of data every hour, how long will it take to fill a 1 Tb storage card?
It can even be as simple as shopping in the supermarket and wondering if 2 packs of biscuits for £2 is better than a giant pack for £2.25?
