It’s usually really hard to make medicines quickly, and often they end up being thrown away because they don’t work very well – which is a massive problem for people spending loads of time on them
My research looks at using robots and artificial intelligence to make medicines for us! Specifically, I am trying to make medicines which have antibodies – these are little proteins that go around fighting infections for us, and they’re really useful when we’re trying to treat things like cancer.

My Typical Day:
On a typical day, I’ll wake up and have breakfast (my favourite is avocado on toast) and I can’t do anything before I have my morning cup of tea! I’ll get to work at about 9am where I plan my experiments for the day, then I’ll take a break for lunch with my friends. In the afternoon I’ll be in the lab doing my experiments and I usually leave my office at about 5:30pm, but it can be later if my experiments have taken a long time.
