• Question: Did you go to university? would you say it is needed to be a mathematician?

      Yes, I did a maths and stats degree (BSc) followed up by a PhD in statistics. Although you get a good start with maths doing an A level, at least a degree would be needed to really build your skills.

    I use maths in my job everyday, mainly stats. However, I didn’t overly enjoy Maths at school. It was not until I studied space science in my degree that I realised applied maths is very different and helps a lot! I love maths now.
